Vígszínház considers it an important task to open youngsters’ minds towards understanding the language of theater and to assist them in processing theater experiences. By drawing out their creativity and love for play, we develop their critical thinking and help them explore how a performance impacts their own world and everyday problems through playful exercises.
In thematic pre- and post-performance workshops, we engage with students in conversations and games surrounding the key issues and questions raised by the performance. We also analyze theater as a medium, exploring theatrical languages and imagery. These programs are not aimed at creating passive viewers, but rather at equipping students with skills that can be applied across various aspects of life. Critical thinking, creative approaches, and finding one's place in both narrow and broader social circles are also fostered.
Thus, the goal is twofold: on the one hand, to help young people become perceptive and engaged viewers, and on the other hand, to develop skills that they can later apply in various fields of life.
